The innovation studio at ING approached us with an ambitious project named Buy Rely, which aimed to develop a secure platform for customers to make safe down payments, with ING ensuring the security of these transactions. Suppliers, such as solar panel installers, needed assurance that their payments would be processed securely and efficiently. Another major obstacle was navigating ING's internal stage gates to obtain the necessary funding, governance, and compliance. The complexity of developing a user-friendly, secure platform, gaining traction, and establishing product-market fit posed a significant challenge.
Our approach relied heavily on the lean startup methodology. Focusing first on understanding the solar panel market and identifying user needs through several experiments. Building a minimum viable product and going to market fast.
Bravoure employed its Teams-as-a-Service model to provide a multidisciplinary team that integrated seamlessly with the Buy Rely team. This collaboration resulted in the creation of a comprehensive digital escrow platform, supported by multiple targeted marketing efforts and a dedicated acquisition website.
The interface of ING's Buy Rely service is designed with clarity and user engagement at its core, reflecting a clean, modern aesthetic that aligns with ING's commitment to customer-centric innovation. The user experience (UX) is streamlined, allowing for easy navigation and transaction visibility, which fosters trust and security—a crucial aspect for financial services.
The color scheme, predominantly in ING's signature orange, enhances brand recognition while the use of white space brings forward an uncluttered feel, ensuring that essential information and actions are immediately identifiable. Interactive elements like the transaction progress bar communicate information efficiently, reinforcing the sense of progression and milestone achievement.
Each section is laid out to guide the user through the process, from the initial downpayment to the final steps of the transaction, illustrating a design that's not only visually appealing but also functionally robust.
