UX/ UI Design
We helped Kalkhoff create a clearer buying experience by running workshops, testing with real users, and redesigning the UX and UI.
The project
Kalkhoff builds high quality e-bikes that stand for simplicity, reliability, and everyday performance. However, this clarity was not yet reflected in the digital buying journey.
Users moved from product overview pages to detail pages without enough guidance to compare models and make a confident choice. At the same time, Kalkhoff was developing a companion app for its e-bikes and needed a focused UX vision that matched how riders actually use their bikes day to day.
The challenge was to bring structure and calm into both experiences. One for choosing a bike. One for using it.
From idea to execution
We started with workshops and UX research to understand how people actually choose an e-bike. Through user testing, we identified moments of friction, missing information, and uncertainty in the journey from product overview to product detail and conversion.
Based on these insights, we redesigned the POP to PDP flow to surface the right information at the right moment. Comparisons became clearer, decision points more explicit, and the overall journey more supportive rather than overwhelming.
In parallel, we defined the UX and UI concept for Kalkhoff’s upcoming app. The focus was on everyday use. Quick access to bike status, clear ride insights, and intuitive navigation without distractions. The interface was designed to support the rider instead of competing for attention.
The result is a clearer, more confident digital experience that reflects the quality of Kalkhoff bikes and supports users both before and after the purchase.
