Depot Noir set out to rethink how people buy, store, and manage premium wine. The ambition was to build a digital-first wine authority that bridges the traditional wine world with a new generation of collectors, using AI prototyping to quickly shape, test, and validate the digital product.

Overview

We developed the positioning, visual identity, and tone of voice to create a contemporary wine authority that appeals to a new generation of collectors.

From this brand foundation, we used AI prototyping to rapidly explore, test, and validate the product experience. This approach allowed us to move quickly from concept to execution while maintaining a premium level of quality.

We designed and built the full digital platform. The result is an end-to-end ecosystem where members can discover wines, manage their digital cellar, and track their collection over time.

To support the business model, we implemented a subscription-based structure with integrated payments through Stripe.

AI prototyping and validation

AI prototyping was used to quickly translate ideas into tangible product concepts. By generating and testing flows, interfaces, and user scenarios early on, we were able to validate assumptions before moving into full development.

This approach reduced complexity, shortened decision cycles, and helped align brand, product, and technology from the start. It allowed the team to move fast, test what works, and build the platform with confidence.
